SONORAN INSTITUTE

The Sonoran Institute inspires and enables community decisions and public policies that respect the land and people of western North America. The Institute contributes to a vision of a West with healthy landscapes, vibrant communities and resilient economies. The non-profit Sonoran Institute works across the West to conserve and restore natural and cultural assets and to promote better management of growth and change. Implementing a community-based approach that emphasizes collaboration, civil dialogue, sound information, and local knowledge, the Institute addresses the Sun Corridor's growth and conservation issues, and the problems presented by development entitlements and distressed subdivisions.
