Who is Arizona Forward?
Arizona Forward is a unique public interest organization that has influenced quality of life and environmental decisions in Arizona since 1969.
The Association consists of a blend of members, including large and small businesses and various jurisdictions of government. The membership roster includes 250+ member companies representing tens of thousands of employees. This includes some of Arizona’s largest employers and some of its smallest, industrial and manufacturing sectors, municipalities and other government agencies, educators, non-profit organizations and concerned citizens.
What does Arizona Forward do?
Arizona Forward serves as a balanced forum for convening public dialogue, discussion and study of environmental and quality of life issues. Arizona communities are diverse, but there are many issues that impact all of us no matter where we live. Arizona Forward provides a vehicle for statewide cooperation and idea sharing. Arizona Forward also serves to provide environmental and quality of life awareness and education.
Why Arizona Forward?
Arizona Forward’s mission is to serve as a common link between competing ideas and to promote dialogue to improve the environment and quality of life in the Grand Canyon State. The association advocates a balance between economic development and environmental quality.
How does Arizona Forward do it?
Arizona Forward is an organization that is based on action. The association makes its impact through participation (working Issue Committees and volunteer projects like Green-Ups), education (bi-monthly programs, forums, EarthFest) and promotion (EEA and other sponsorships).
WHERE IS ARIZONA FORWARD LOCATED?
Arizona Forward is headquartered in downtown Phoenix and operates year-round throughout the state. Our board of directors meets quarterly, the executive committee along with various Issue and Standing Committees meet monthly, and our regional councils meet bi-montly in the regions the serve. Our staff and leadership travel around the state as needed for meetings, events, educational field trips and other programs that support our mission and vision.
