WHAT: Phoenix Mayor Phil Gordon and Arizona State University President Michael Crow will discuss major changes in store for downtown Phoenix at Valley Forward Association's October luncheon, titled "The Changing Face of Downtown Phoenix." The event takes place on October 26th and will feature updates by the local community leaders on economic development activities for the downtown area, including the city of Phoenix Bond Election, plans for ASU's downtown Phoenix campus, the Translation Genomics Research Institute partnership and more. Former Phoenix Mayor Paul Johnson, Chair of the 2006 Phoenix Bond Program, has been invited to serve as moderator. The event is open to the public.

More than 150 local business and civic leaders are expected to attend the luncheon and guests will have the opportunity to preview plans for downtown Phoenix and ask questions of the speakers. Valley Forward is a non-profit organization that brings business, civic, and community leaders together to convene public dialogue on regional issues and to promote cooperative efforts to improve the environment and quality of life in the Valley.
