Subject: EnviroTech Merger - Management Behavior
In reference to our upcoming merger with EnviroTech, and as all of you know, InterClean, Inc. has officially acquired EnviroTech, one of our four major domestic competitors in the corporate market. Over the next four months, about 60 of EnviroTech staff and operations specialists will be merged into our company’s structure. As managers we will establish this with honesty and hard work always, we are not afraid to admit when we are wrong or seek the support of our employees to lead us in the right direction.
Our main responsibilities for the next step will have to acquire knowledge about emerging issues in sanitation, Leed Green Building Council (USGBC), environmental regulation of cleaning and cleaning systems, OSHA standards (Occupational Safety & Health Administration). All employees are expected to adhere to their work activities and demonstrate ethical behavior in all their decisions and interactions. We are the ones to lead the way and set an example. It is our responsibility to make sure that each and every one of our new staff members is well educated and informed of the employment laws and regulations (elaws). We have to be very clear about job requirements and performance standards; we need to treat people as individuals and evaluate each individual fairly based simply on the decision whether his or her skills and experience match the job description and performance standards as opposed to discriminating people based on their sex, age, religion, or personal history.
We should be committed to establishing a healthy work environment free of unlawful discrimination, sexual harassment or violence, and mutual respect, safety, business ethics and equal opportunities practices should be promoted. With InterClean, Inc. merging with EnviroTech, the issues of diversity and working in a multi-cultural work setting should be our top priority now more.
