Your role involves providing advice and guidance to new and existing businesses on issues such as |
|funding, human resources, marketing and procurement. This is quite a demanding position and involves working with a wide range of people from a |
|variety of organisations and business backgrounds. In order to provide you with the necessary skills and knowledge, your line manager is keen for |
|you to undertake an intensive induction programme which includes a series of training sessions and fact-finding assignments. |
|After the initial training session, your manager asks you to prepare a report into how a local organisation manages its existing human, physical |
|and technological resources. This is a very important aspect of your training and he suggests that you contact a local organisation with a view to|
|arranging a meeting with a key representative (e.g. the Human Resources Manager or Operations Manager). This will provide you with the opportunity|
|to discuss how the business is resourced and how it operates on a day-to-day basis. He emphasises the need for you to prepare thoroughly for the |
|visit and have all your questions and requests for information ready. |
