Case Analysis Outline

Viewpoint
Any person who is a decision maker or who is cap[able of recommending a solution as mentioned in the case or any consultant hired to recommend a solution.

Time Context
Generally, it delineates the take-off point of the analysis.

I. Problem Statement
This defines the perceived problem presented in the case and which is the object of the analysis. It may be presented in a declarative form or in the form of a question.

II. Statement of the Objective
These are the goals which the case analysis hopes to achieve.
They basically satisfy the test of SMART (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic and Time-bound).

III. Areas of Consideration

Advantages and disadvantages of each ACA should be identified by the way of considering the SWOT.

VII. Conclusion
Comparative analysis of each ACA should be made by the way of identifying the variables and how each variable is rated for each ACA. Comparison is summarized by a decision matrix which will now show the ACA to be adopted.

Central Problem:
The Lew-Mark Baking Company is unadaptive to change and isn't open for new opportunities to improve their company in terms of innovation, productivity and processing.

Objectives:
1. To increase productivity among the company.
2. To improve quality and product line including shelf life.
3. To be more competitive enough other than settling into classical methods.
4. To lessen transportation cost and labor cost.
5. To accept better options than the current option.

Alternative Courses of Action:

1. The company should venture on other product lines specifically hard or crispy cookies.
2. The company should try new suppliers that is nearest to the company.
3. To add additives and preservatives to certain products when it comes to putting it into shelves in supermarkets, groceries, etc.
4. The company should consider the automation of the packaging other than manual labor.
5. Top management should conceptualize new products in every way possible in terms of shape, texture, color and fillings.
6. The company should buy new machineries to cater for the new product line other than settling for the current techonology.

Evaluation:
1. The company should venture on other product lines specifically hard or crispy cookies.

a.Can acquire new target markets in return increasing their profits and popularity.
b.Can compete with larger companies to be able to maintain their place in the market.
Disadvantages:
a. Additional cost/ equipment.
b. Risky in terms of quality, taste and features.
