Chelsea Football Club est un club de football professionnel anglais fondé le 10 mars 1905 à Londres. Son siège est situé dans le quartier de Fulham, au sein du borough de Hammersmith et Fulham. Il évolue actuellement en Premier League et a passé la majorité de son histoire dans la plus haute division du football anglais. Leur stade est Stamford Bridge, qui comprend 41 637 places2, et où le club évolue depuis sa fondation. John Terry est le capitaine du club depuis 2003 et Guus Hinddink est l'entraîneur de l'équipe première. De plus, outre ses succès nationaux, le club a aussi remporté des compétitions au niveau continental, avec deux Coupes d'Europe des vainqueurs de coupe, une Supercoupe de l'UEFA, une Ligue Europa, et une Ligue des champions. En 2009-2010, le club remporte son premier doublé4, et en 2012, devient le premier club londonien à remporter la Ligue des champions5,6. Le 15 mai 2013, Chelsea remporte la Ligue Europa. Ce succès permet aux Blues de rejoindre l'Ajax, le Bayern Munich, et la Juventus dans le cercle très fermé des clubs ayant remporté les trois coupes d'Europe. De plus, entre le 16 mai 2013 et le 25 mai 2013, le club est détenteur des deux compétitions majeures de l'UEFA (la Ligue des champions et la Ligue Europa). Chelsea devient le troisième club à gagner deux coupes européennes consécutivement après Liverpool entre 1976 et 1977 et Porto entre 2003 et 2004.

Depuis 1912, Chelsea porte traditionnellement des maillots et shorts de couleur bleu royal avec des chaussettes blanches. Le logo du club a été changé plusieurs fois afin de le moderniser ou de le renouveler ; le logo actuel, comportant un lion tenant un bâton, est une version modifiée de celui adopté dans les années 19507.
