A. Being pressured to graduate high school and become successful
1. School is tough and being pressured is even tougher. High school students should know that having good grades and being academically successful is not an option.
2. But being pressured can put a lot of weight on a student’s shoulders that makes them unable to focus because they are trying to be so able to please.
B. The negative impact of social media
1. Cyberbullying and negative comments from peers can turn a teen into depression state.
2. Social media was first introduced as a positive source for adults to reconnect with longtime friends. Now it has teenagers committing suicide, getting depressed, and having limited motivation to do anything because of the bullying received from their peers on social media.
C. Alcohol and drugs
1. Many teens resort to alcohol and drugs due to peer pressure, depression or just the simple fact of what they have grown up to know.
2. Substance abuse can lead to many problems in a person’s life especially if started at a young age.
