The concert I chose to watch on the internet was Fleetwood Mac. This concert was the Mirage Tour. This concert took place on October 21 and 22 in 1982. Fleetwood Mac consists of Stevie Nicks, John McVie, Mick Fleetwood, Lindsey Buckingham, and Christie McVie. Stevie Nicks was one of the main vocalists as well as Christie McVie. John McVie, Christie’s wife, used the bass guitar along with Mick Fleetwood who would use the drums and percussion. Lindsey Buckingham also sang, played the guitar, and played the keyboards. They performed collectively as a group. I chose this group because I have always liked their music or even just Stevie Nick’s music. I grew up listening to their music from my mom and aunt always playing it. I just love Stevie Nick’s voice she has as amazing voice.
The music that was performed at this concert was Pop with a combination of rock and contemporary. ...view middle of the document...
They started in the 1960’s specifically 1967. Even though they have changed their members more than once, they have always played the same kind of tunes. Their music is mostly rock music, using a lot of drums, guitars, tambourine, and keyboards. Their songs would start off with just the instruments playing for a few minutes before they would even start off singing. Some songs would even have an extra-long ending with a period of just instruments being played.
I think everyone in the concert performed so well. I could feel the energy thru my computer as if I was really there live in concert! I think they were very in tune with the instruments and played them to the highest capacity. You can tell just by watching this video that they put a lot of time and energy into making their concert is the best it could be. They ended the concert with a slow song with only one member left on stage to play the keyboards and a song.
I enjoyed the concert for the most part. There were some times throughout that I was kind of bored. If I didn’t know the song or when they were just playing instruments instead of singing. I don’t really care to hear music live, I would rather listen to it on cd or on my laptop. When they performed live sometimes it is hard to make out what the words were. I do like hearing Stevie Nicks sing but I always would like to hear the words clearly. Not only do you have the instruments played but you can hear people screaming and singing along with them. Which it kind of drains the sound out.
I would love to hear these artists again but I would prefer to hear them on CD or on my laptop. I don’t think I would want to hear them live or attend a concert from them. I have some favorite songs that I might just want to hear instead of the whole album or the concert layout.
