We are the student of Mrs. Domingo and we are asked by her to make an evaluation or interview with an entrepreneur whose business is 5 years or older. We had a chance to have an interview to a mini giveaway and school supplies shop located at Bart Mall, in front of our school which is Holy Angel University. We chose him because a lot of students go there to buy their school needs, and they had the ability to start a business with a small amount of capital and we are to ask some questions about. Starting a business in these days is hard because we all ...view middle of the document...
The owners spend 3,000-4,000php business expenses every month; this includes the consumption of stock and the bills. They do not pay rent because the owner of the stall is a close family member. The owners encountered problems like capital and stock shortage and the destruction of Xerox machines. For them to solve the problems, they sometimes loan from the bank for the capital to fit in the stocks. Their business earn more in the month of June and December; which is the opening of classes and Christmas season.
III. Key to Success
For the owner who we interviewed, an owner has to be patience towards the growth of his business. An owner has to spend his capital wisely, and observe the needs of a buyer or consumer. You have to love what you to and have a vision in your business. You have to set a goal for your business in the future, for you to have the encouragement to strive harder. Come up with ways to solve the problem, not considering the business to close. Your business will not grow if you give up easily. Never sacrifice the quality of the good you sell. You may have cheap items but in poor quality, your reputation may be affected, and your business may not grow in that case.
After we conducted the interview, we realize that the growth of a business firm doesn’t depend on how big your capital is, or how much costumers you have. Although these aspects are important, the most important thing you have to possess is dedication in what you are doing, and looking for the needs of your buyers. We learned a lot with thee co-owner of Student’s Choice Giftshop. Like as an entrepreneur, you have to be patient in the growth of your business; it may seem slow, but in the near future every sweat, every perseverance will result in a successful business firm.
