What is racism? In what ways does racism affect diversity?
Racism is discrimination and hatred towards a certain race group. An example of racism is a man who hates the Asian race even if he does not hate any Asian individuals. Racism affects diversity because it often leads to segregation. Races break off from everyone else and do not come together with other races as a diverse community. The best example I have of this is small towns in Texas that are mostly made up of Whites. The come together and build a community and do not welcome people who are different than they are.

How do racial groups interact in contemporary America? Are interactions positive, negative, or neutral? Support your response using proper citations.
In America today, racial groups are more interactive than ever before. People are becoming more open-minded and accepting of people no matterwhat color their skin or what gender they are. Workplaces encourage diversity, school are not segregated, and there are more equal rights to every race and gender. There is still a lot of racism however.
