A community is made up of different culture, races, and religion, within a community there are different shared values, but everyone must abide by a general agreement that makes up the communities values. A community is mostly mirrored by the Deontology Theory; which constitutes laws, or customs, and natural moral duties. That however, does not restrict the individuals within the community to have their own ethical believes.
According to Boylan, “Community membership is both a great enabler of personal liberty and a hindrance one personal liberty. One cannot have the one without the other,” (Boylan, 2009).

They believe in making sure that the Old Testament laws found in the Bible be kept in order to protect the integrity of what they believe. So everyone within this community work as a unit to fulfill that responsibility.
Virtue can also be viewed as one of its responsibilities. This form of ethics refers to excellence, which means that good can only develop through excellence. (Boylan, 2009). They believe that if they keep the law that it would make them perfect individuals.
As a member of this community, what do you think it means to be socially responsible?
I think members of the Jewish community feel that taking care of their people and contributing overall to a better way of living and world. “The Jewish people are highly attuned to the idea of being responsible to society and the world.” (Spiro, 2013). The Jewish community mandates positive behavior onto others, and requires action is taken, not just avoiding it.
