HRM is a field that not many people understand until the proper research is conducted and analyzed. Even though it is a department full of resources to help employees succeed in their job, the Georgia College human resource department, like many others, is much more than just those resources. This department is the mediator between the employees and the university. These requirements are necessary for a human resource department to thrive. Along with this, the mediation also assists in ensuring that Georgia College has the ability to fulfill its mission statement.
Each university in the University System of Georgia has a distinctive mission statement that it abides by. At Georgia College, the mission statement has a main focus on the students. It is as follows:

A mission statement is a collective agreement that is believed to be what the agency in question is working to achieve. In this case, Georgia College wants to help future generation succeed in their selected fields and enrich the student’s lives with experience that can be helpful in their future endeavors. Moreover, along with this mission statement, Georgia College also has value statements.
Value statements are statements in which Georgia College is established to further support the institute’s mission. The value statements are as follows: an expansive undergraduate educational experience, excellence in graduate education, challenging and innovative technology, opportunities for community engagement, and preparation in leadership (Mission and Values). These statements are an opportunity for Georgia College to properly embark in steps to attain its mission statement. In order for the institution to succeed in giving it’s students the best experience in college and to have an effective personnel system, these missions and values must be followed.
