The system provides two full power backup systems for the entire computer; one at the La Jolla location and the other serves both Del Mar and Encinitas locations.
The newly added Related Enterprise Management System (REMS), is an integrated system that consist of specific modules designed to meet the challenges of driving growth and increasing revenues. Most of the modules are part of the accounting and finance system. There is a Point of Sale Module (POS) to help streamline management duties and make the checkout process fast and easy for customers. The installation of this system has also increased data consistency and integrity. REMS, however, is not currently providing an end-to-end application to manage all the areas of business for Kudler. The REMS should be utilized to centralize all functions of the business. For example, purchasing is being processed manually by three different store managers at the three different store locations. However, there are no written formal policies regarding the security of the finance and accounting systems.
