La comunicación literaria:
• Conceptos:
i. Comunicación:
• La teoría de la comunicación estudia los fenómenos de
transmisión de las señales, tanto entre máquinas, como entre
hombres, o entre máquinas y hombres. Se refiere a la
transmisión e intercambio de señales.

ii. Comunicación lingüística:
• Se refiere a un intercambio verbal entre un sujeto hablante que
produce un enunciado con destino a otro sujeto hablante que
lo escucha y responde. (Para el intercambio debe haber
coparticipación)
• Saussure le llama “circuito del habla” a la comunicación
lingüística.

¿Cuáles serían distintivos?

Literariedad o literaturidad
• Una de las cuestiones fundacionales de la teoría moderna
fue distinguir lo literario de lo no literario. Este fue en
principio lo que dio origen a la concepción formalista. No
obstante, se descubrió que muchos de los rasgos
estimados como literarios resultaban fundamentales en
discursos y prácticas no literarias. Por ejemplo, la lógica
narrativa en la explicación histórica, con sus tres partes, tal
como se describe la superestructura narrativa de un relato.
• Del mismo modo, otros rasgos tomados como distintivos
de la poesía (imágenes, figuras de retórica y la eufonía,
entre otros) se hallan en construcciones que no son
consideradas literarias.

• El concepto de lo literario ha ido cambiando con el
tiempo. Dicho sea de paso la consideración de que
la obra es producto de la imaginación es de origen
romántico. Anteriormente, ni siquiera se aplicaba
para referirse a un tipo especial de escritura, sólo se
empleaba al considerar ejemplos de un uso posible
del lenguaje y la retórica.
• Incluso, obras que hoy estudiamos dentro de lo que
consideramos como literario, –sermones, discursos,
cartas, relaciones, entre otros– se apreciaban como
literatura sólo en el sentido estrecho de “escrito” o
“conocimiento erudito”.

• En principio, un texto se considera literario por no
tener utilidad práctica aparente. Esto se produce
cuando hay inadecuación con el contexto, o cuando la
relación entre forma y contenido exige otro tipo de
atención.
• Es decir, la literatura es lenguaje descontextualizado,
apartado de otras funciones o propósitos; pero es
también en sí misma un contexto, que suscita formas
especiales de atención.
• Puede concluirse, siguiendo a Culler, que la literatura
“es un acto de habla o un suceso textual que suscita
ciertos tipos de atención”.

La naturaleza de la literatura
1. Lenguaje “a primer plano”-La literatura es un lenguaje que
trae a primer plano el propio lenguaje, lo rarifica. Su
disposición lingüística pasa a primer término; como manejo
especial llama nuestra atención (es uno de los efectos de lo
que Jakobson denominó función poética). No obstante,
para muchos lectores esto pasa inadvertido, a menos que
estén informados de que leen literatura.
2. Integración del lenguaje- los diversos componentes del
texto se relacionan de modo complejo. La significación se
produce por las relaciones entre las estructuras de los
diferentes niveles lingüísticos: entre el sonido y el sentido,
entre la organización gramatical y la estructura temática,
etc. No obstante, no todos los textos literarios, cumplen con
esto.
