a. “Great Man” approach: mencoba untuk mengidentifikasi relatif stabil, atribut disposisional yang dimiliki pemimpin.
b. Implicit leadership theory: keyakinan tentang bagaimana pemimpin harus bersikap dan apa yang harus dilakukan untuk pengikutnya.
c. Emotional Intelligence: kemampuan untuk mengelola diri sendiri dan hubungan seseorang dengan cara yang dewasa dan konstruktif.

Berikut ini adalah positive Leadership traits dari Indra Nooyi:
• Task competence:
- kosmopolitan, berpendidikan dan berpikir strategis,
