This paper investigates two leadership theories which support innovation within an organization. The paper discussed discovery and delivery skills of innovative leaders and my own discovery and delivery skills and how I can utilize them to support innovation within an organization.
Leadership Lens

In situational leadership approach managers recognize a standard approach hinders creativity and the thought process, thus they nurture their employees talents to benefit the organization.
Charismatic leadership uses their charm and whit to gain a following rather than using an authority approach. The charismatic leader ability to allow individuals to feel safe and secure without recuperation leads to innovations. This leadership approach allows for followers to relate to their leaders and develop a drive to impress their management team. In the next sections I will discuss discovery and delivery skills.
Discovery and Delivery Skills
Discovery and delivery skills support innovation because it allows for individuals to be inquisitive. Individuals seek new ways to answer questions and problem solve. These individuals challenge the status quo which allows for individuals to feel safe even when they fail. People are to learn from their failures and continue to push through. Individuals who are innovators allot half of their time towards discovery activities. They do not allow others to force their restraints onto them. Individuals with innovator DNA build their skillsets and become increasing confident with their abilities, which leads to the associated risk they are willing to take in order to be successful. It is much easier for individuals to master the discovery skills versus the delivery skills. However, successful innovators at first need to master the discovery skills in the early stages of the business, however once they become established they need to switch gears to the delivery stage in order to drive their success.
After taking the short quiz, I discovered my score was a 53 on odd numbered questions indicating I scored how on the discovery process. I scored a 38 on the even numbered questions indicating I scored in the moderate to low category on the delivery process. After reflecting on my scores, I do agree I am a visionary. I can come up with the ideals and action plan but I do need a counterpart that can provide the follow...
