A successful business is only as successful as its leaders, as well as its ability to communicate. Communication is key to success, whether it is inside the organization itself or between the organization and its consumers. The leadership style of any organization can affect its ability to effectively communication, both inside and outside the walls of the company itself.
Leadership Styles
In today’s business world, one can find several different modern leadership styles. Examples of these styles might include: charismatic, transformational, visionary, transactional, and servant leadership styles. (Nayab, 2011)

Another very different type of leadership is the transactional leader. This leadership style is based on getting things done through a very clear chain of command within the organization. This leader uses rewards and punishment to motivate employees. Although we learn this type of system at a very young age, true success in business cannot always work in this way.
The final leadership style is servant leadership, which translates into just that type of relationship within the organization. The foundation of this type is created on the premise that leaders are servants first and leaders second. These leaders steer away from traditional leadership by empowering subordinates and inspiring them to perform. Often this style of leadership can lead to collective efforts on large scale projects, but more often than not a leader of this type may become victim to an unbalanced organization.
Leadership that Promotes Group Communication
Google prides itself on having an open organizational culture, in which everyone is a hands-on contributor and feels comfortable sharing ideas and opinions The physical design of the company locations are created to encourage interactions between Googlers within and across teams, and to spark conversation about work as well as play. (Google, 2013)
With this type of innovative, community based organization a leadership style that is participative, visionary, and focuses on the evolving world of information technology will be the style that helps Google become the most successful. Within the organizational groups, leaders who are focused on the company vision as well as organization growth help make Google a collaborative working organism in business today.
