1.2) SITUATION ANALYSIS
Maize is a cash crop of many villages in the Ndop plain cultivated by local farmers in small and large scale, usually consume in the form of flour by most people. Maria Co Ltd add value to the grain with its available skills and technology to provide consumer with variety. Our company is based in the Bamenda town and we have established our agent in all the rural areas in Cameroon involved in the cultivation of maize who collect and buy the grains from the farmers and supply them to us.
Most consumers of maize and maize product are household, local corn beer producer, poultry farmers, dry cleaners, super markets. found in the northwest, " Grand north", west, littoral and centre region. These region which purchases more maize and maize product is our primary segment. Many purchasers are expected to be impulse, requiring strong point-of-purchase support 70percent is concentrated with strong competition from MIDENO, CIDENO, ALIVERT Cameroon, and other local competitors. we have extensive experience in the manufacture of innovative, high quality maize products such as ; parcel dry powder pap, starch for dry cleaners, cornflakes, can fresh corn, parcel corn flour, corn for animal feed and maize for retailers to other buyers of maize for local consumption. Our suppliers of maize are the maize farmers in several villages involve in the cultivation of maize. Permitting us to offer the consumer value in a variety of product from maize. In addition we have experience distributing our maize product into 75 percent of our outlets
1.3) MARKET ANALYSIS
The Maia Co Ltd for maize product will compete with several companies involve in maize and maize product. Our competitors buy over 1000 tonnes of maize each year from farmers. They retail some and transformed some into other finish products. Our market will be segmented by region that is geographical segmentation.
