Reflection Paper One

In this class we have covered many topics including revelation, interpretation, image of God, sin, atonement, redemption, and many more topics. All of these topics are important to understand as a Christian. Revelation discusses how the Lord reveals himself to his creation. Atonement and redemption discuss what Christ did for us on the Cross. However, in this paper I am going to discuss the fall of man and how man is born with a sin nature. I chose these topics because I know and understand my faith and the Bible better. I am convinced that to truly know and understand your Savior, you need to understand your need for one first.

We all need to understand how sinful and unholy we are in our hearts. In Praxis, Etzel and Gutierrez say, “Sin has affected all of our lives, every human being.” (Praxis pg. 68.) They also point out that “though some people exhibit their sinfulness in more overt ways than others, the same sin nature is alive and well in every person.” (Praxis pg. 68) All human beings are sinful. We all fall short of the glory of God. (Romans 3:23) What are we supposed to do about...
